Thrifting in New Hampshire and Maine

Stopped at three different Savers (Plymouth, MA, Manchester, NH, and near Kittery, ME), stopped at a couple of church-affiliated thrift shops too.  Prob spent $150, but ended with 7 dresses, 3 purses, 10 pairs of earrings, 2 blazers, 10 dress shirts, 1 cardigan, 1 bathing suit bottom, a vase, a Best Fisherman in the World plaque, 3 pairs of shoes, a mug, 4 necklaces, a vintage Patagonia hat, and a jewelry box.  Averages out to about $3 per item.

7 Wonders of the World!

I accomplished one of my largest personal goals - to see the Seven Wonders of the World before turning thirty!!  Christ the Redeemer was the last one.

Ipanema Beach

 

Krakow, Poland

The bus was supposed to arrive in Krakow at 2:30 a.m. Around 1:30 a.m. the bus stopped in the side of the highway. We asked if we were in Krakow. The drivers didn't speak English and said nodded yes. We were 11 kilometers south of the town. It was freezing, so Tom gave me all of his dirty clothes to put on, and we started walking. After two kilometers of walking, Tom flagged down a cab that happened to be passing by. Saved.
